Henry Yan workshop

Henry Yan gave a wonderful workshop at the Lavender Hill Studios 
Was a 4 day workshop, and because of other commitments i could only attend 2 and a half days... But what i got from that time, and also with the help of other peoples notes (thank you Francis), i learned more than i could hope for.

First oil Portrait

This was my very first oil portrait. I did it while standing next to a person who had far more experience, which was of great help, constantly reminding me, not to rush in to any detail, to keep it as simple as possible and to avoid unnecessary brush marks. A lesson that is still often forgotten in more recent work.
